Cable Splicing

We have designed equipment and developed fully qualified methodologies for the splicing and jointing of power and signal cables.

Cable manufacturers may need to supply cable lengths that cannot be manufactured in a single production run. Our equipment and process produce a join that fully reinstates the cores and any screen braid, has the same overall diameter, the same bend radius, and more than 90% of the original cable strength.

The brazing rig accurately aligns the cable cores and gives a clean reliable butt-joint of the copper cores.

The injection moulding rig reinstates the insulation. We use the same material as the cable insulation, and the combination of heat and pressure provide a seamless finish with no leak paths.

The same equipment and techniques can be used for emergency cable repair and jointing offshore.
