Land & Air
From our roots in naval defence, we have successfully expanded into the military land and aerospace sectors and have recently won engineering contracts relating to air-to-air missiles and the Challenger II Tank.
Our particular areas of engineering expertise include:

- The development of Simulators and Scenario Models to support the evaluation and integration of new sub-systems.
- Obsolescence Management and Technology Insertion.
- High variety, low volume manufacture of developmental, bespoke and complex engineering products.
- High reliability cable terminations, splices and specialist mouldings.
The Dual Axis Sight Stand, used to calibrate the gun on the Challenger II tank developed a brinelling problem on one of its turntables. Our engineers proposed a solution based on the use of a bespoke lifting aid, hardening of the turntable steel and a process for the repeatable removal and re-installation of the stand.
Following successful refurbishment of the first system, we now have a rolling system modification contract and is providing ongoing Post Design Support to BAE Land Systems.
We developed a dynamic test stand for testing the Meteor air-to-air missile. The exacting positional accuracy and rate of change requirements were met through the use of servo motors controlled by an industrial PC. The test stand is fully accredited for production testing of the Meteor missile and feeds back precise motion data to the Overall Missile test Facility.
Following successful delivery of the prototype, we went on to manufacture a total of six test stands and now provide ongoing in-service support.
