Production
With a rapid changeover approach, we focus on high-variety low and medium-volume production. Working with electronic, mechanical, cable and acoustic assemblies, we have a history of complex repair work and new manufacture.
Specialists and multi-skilled staff undertake a broad range of assembly, wire and test functions, offering customers unique expertise in manufacture for underwater environments.
Our proficiency with sensitive analogue assemblies compliments our capacity to produce and test high power units.
Moulding
- We apply bonding and amalgamation techniques to prevent water penetration. We produce hot moulding plastics, metals, watertight cable glands and using our encapsulation facilities, apply resins and low-pressure plastics to design requirements.
Cables
- Cable termination, splicing and weld repair work resources include facilities to test for mechanical strength and integrity.
Testing
- Hydrostatic testing ensures all items resist fluid penetration at varying pressures. Using automatic test equipment, we can fully test further termination and penetration work for continuity, conformity and ionisation.
Towed Arrays
- We apply our specifically developed tooling and skill to manufacture repair and refurbish Towed and Vertical Sonar Line Arrays.
Transducers
- Anechoic test facilities and automated test equipment ensure consistency in transducer production.
Spares and repairs
- We deliver rapid response spares and repairs and refurbishment for electronic and electromechanical assemblies, mechanisms and transducers. Quality of electronic systems is ensured by on-site PCB fault finding and repair.
